Bay Galvanizing has been in operation since 2000. It all started with a 3m kettle, and it was soon obvious that change was coming in a big way. By 2003 the 3m kettle had become a 5m kettle and it didn’t stop there. In 2006, production levels had grown to over 200 tons of steel per month.
Our vision is simple, is all about passion for hot dip Galvanizing, customer satisfaction and the safety of our employees.

We operate a Galvanizing kettle 5m long, 1.1m wide and 2.5m deep along with all the other process tanks which makes up the complete Hot Dip Galvanizing process.
We pride in our selves to keep in mind of the safety of the environment while we keep the plant running.
We have capacity to galvanize approximately 300 tons of steel per month.
We also provide design assistance of fabricated steel products to suit the galvanizing process, abrasive blasting, duplex coating systems and transport services of steel to and from our plant.
We pride ourselves in service to our customers and quality of the finished product and galvanise to the SABS SANS 121/ISO 1461 the internationally recognised Hot Dip Galvanizing specification.
Safety is a high priority at out plant as we want all our employees to go home after shift in the same condition as when they arrived for the shift.
We use the MBA 5 Star Safety rated system and accept nothing less than 5 stars.
We pride ourselves on our excellent safety record and have adopted the mottos of ZERO HARM, which we have achieved in the past, with our record been 10 years plus injury free.
We have a compliment of 39 employees who are regularly trained and refreshed in all safety aspects of the production process that the employees carry out on a day to day basis.
ENVIRONMENT
Bay Galvanizers supports environmentally friendly practices:
Used HCL and chemicals are removed by an approved waste company and sent to a land fill site treated, neutralized and disposed of in an environmental friendly manner.
We have installed air filtration and monitoring systems installed at the plant to meet the requirements of Air Quality Act of 2004 of all the air emissions that we release from our plant.
Our Emissions are measured on an annual basis to ensure that we are in compliance with the Air Quality Act of 2004.
All waste by products are sold for recycling.
